The former captain and legend of the Australian team, Steve Waugh roast Sachin Tendulkar claiming the Indian team has already begun its mind game ahead of the Test series between them. Team India will face a bigger challenge at the end of 2020 when it starts the tour of Australia. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly confirmed recently, that the Test series will consist of Day-Night Test match, which can prove to be a challenge for Team India.

Waugh shows disagreement on Sachin’s comment on Marnus Labuschagne

Recently, ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar was asked about a batsman who resembles him closely in contemporary times, and his reply was not any Indian cricketer but Australia’s newcomer Marnus Labuchagne. According to Sachin, the Australian rising star Labuchagne has a mental toughness which he (Sachin) witnessed during the 2019 Ashes at Lord’s when Marnus showed impeccable footwork despite being hit by Jofra Archer bouncer.

However, Australian former skipper seems to disagree with Tendulkar’s comparison of Labuschagne with himself and even felt like maybe the great Indian cricketer was “trying to put Labuschagne off.” Although Waugh praised Marnus’s phenomenal rise in the cricket world and how he is dominating it. The Australian batsman is currently holding the third position in the ICC Test batsmen rankings with 827 points.

The Australian team will be the favourites to win the Test series: Steve Waugh

Steve Waugh in a recently concluded interview described how the Australian team because of Steve Smith and David Warner will dominate Kohli’s men. He mentioned how the last series that India played in Australia lacked the presence of former skipper Steve Smith and former vice-captain David Warner. At that time, both the players were serving their bans after the ball-tampering scandal in New Zealand.

Waugh said that now Australia has a very settled squad with Smith and Warner comebacks in the team and introduction of Marnus Labuschagne will only add mental and physical strength in the team.
