NZ vs ENG: England are set to tour New Zealand for a two match test series starting on 16 February. Both teams are out of the reckoning for the WTC Final with England 5th in the rankings while current holders of the title New Zealand are languishing at 8th. There will be two warm-up matches in Hamilton followed by a pink ball test in Mount Maunganui. The second test will commence on 24 February at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.

England Squad for the Series

Head coach Brendon McCullum has revolutionised Test Cricket along with skipper Ben Stokes. The Lions recently broke a number of records in their win against Pakistan. Matthew Potts makes a comeback to the side after being omitted for the Pakistan series. Olly Stone, James Anderson, and the returning Stuart Broad are the other pacers while Jack Leach is the only spinner named.

Joe Root will take part in the UAE T20 before joining the squad for the series. Meanwhile, the highly rated Will Jacks is playing in the SA20. Harry Brook and Ben Duckett are involved in the ongoing tour of South Africa. Zak Crawley and Dan Lawrence are the other batters named. There is no room for white-ball captain Jos Buttler as Ben Foakes will continue to keep wickets.
