NZ vs IND Toss Delayed: In a massive breaking news development, the New Zealand vs India opening T20I match will have a delayed start as it is currently raining at the Sky Stadium in Wellington. The Kiwis are all set to play hosts for India in a three-match T20I series and both these teams lost their respective semi-final encounters in the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Both India and New Zealand will also lock horns in a three-match ODI series.
The big update is that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have posted on Twitter that the toss for the India vs New Zealand opening T20I encounter has been delayed due to persistent rains at the Sky Stadium in Wellington. The toss was originally supposed to take place at 11:30 AM IST with the first ball to be bowled at 12 AM IST, but it is currently raining very much heavily in Wellington, however, the drainage system is great at the Sky Stadium which is why the game can start quickly once the rain gods disappear. The bad news is that the New Zealand vs India 1st T20I has been abandoned due to heavy rains without a single ball being bowled.
