PBKS Playing 11: Punjab Kings will be facing the defending champions Mumbai Indians in an important game of IPL 2021 here at Chennai. With both sides coming off losses in their respective games, this will be a crucial game for both of them. In 26 matches played between these teams so far, 14 have been won by Mumbai while 12 have gone Punjab’s way. The record isn’t that bad for Punjab Kings as most teams have struggled in their head-to-head records against Mumbai. In the last season, Mumbai won the first leg but Punjab scripted an incredible Super Over win in the second one. With 3 losses in a row, the Kings would be looking to get their tournament back on track.

All the players are available for selection for Punjab. They are likely to go with an unchanged eleven despite losing the last match. Here is how their eleven could be shaped up for this match:

PBKS Playing 11 (likely)

KL Rahul (C) (wk)
M Agarwal
C Gayle
D Hooda
N Pooran
Shahrukh Khan
M Henriques
F Allen
M Shami
M Ashwin
A Singh

Punjab possess a strong top order but their inconsistent performances haven’t helped the cause. Rahul and Agarwal will be needed to fire at the top. Gayle and Pooran have been quiet this season but Hooda and Shahrukh Khan have shown excellent temperament in the middle order. Bowling has lacked penetration and Punjab will hope Shami to lead from the front.
