Predicted Team India squad for Asia Cup 2022

The Asia Cup 2022 will be happening after 4 years and India will be defending their title after having won 2018 edition in UAE. Last time, it was a fifty over format as the 50 over world cup was fast approaching then. This time, it is set to happen in the shortest format in T20Is as the T20 world cup is less than 4 months away.

Asia Cup 2022: All big stars to return for India

Indian management has been big on managing the workload of their all format players and one of the main reasons why India are fielding so many different XIs in the last 2 months across formats. Since, Asia Cup is a prestigious tournament and the fact that they will be up against the arch rivals Pakistan who are one of the top T20I sides going around, it is expected that India will name a full strength squad that includes all the sure starters in the world cup playing 11 in Australia later this year.

The likes of Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah who are all have been given a break from the ongoing white ball series against West Indies in West Indies are expected to play in the Asia Cup.

India will be having a happy headache as they have a lot of worthy contenders fighting for a spot in the 15 men squad and it is going to be one difficult task for the selectors to leave out players out of the squad who would walk into the playing 11 of some other international sides. It will be interesting to see whether India prefer Washington Sundar ahead of Ravichandran Ashwin in the squad.
