The 31-year-old right hander is a giant in the domestic circuit especially in the shortest format of the game. He made his debut in the under-15 category in 2004 and made his under 17 debuts in 2006 both for the Maharashtra team. Talking about his List A career, his debut came on 16th February 2010 for Maharashtra against Baroda in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He had a decent show in Vijay Hazare, but his dream run came in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy season for Maharashtra where he finished as the leading run-scorer for his side.

Talking about Rahul’s IPL numbers, the right-hander has managed to score 1798 runs from 74 innings at an average of 28.09 and a healthy strike rate of 140.80 (till 2022). He is one of those batters who bat in the middle and still keeps up with the pace of the game. He has just started his career in the Indian blue, and we hope he goes deep and become a vital part of the Indian T20I side.
