Chasing the target of 142 runs, Royal Challengers Bangalore didn’t have the greatest start to their innings. They lost skipper Virat Kohli in the very first over and were in more trouble after losing Dan Christian in the third over.

KS Bharat tried to take SRH bowlers to the cleaners but Umran Malik’s pace was too much for him to handle. The duo of Devdutt Padikkal and Glenn Maxwell then steadied the RCB ship and stitched 54 runs partnership. While the southpaw was struggling to time the ball, the hard-hitting Australian batsman was looking brutal and was eyeing another half century before Kane Williamson’s brilliant fielding sent him packing for 40 runs.

It was during the 15th over when Devdutt Padikkal bunted the delivery from Rashid Khan in front of cover and called his partner for a quick single, the SRH skipper slid across and released the ball in one motion, aiming at the stumps and managed to hit the target to send Maxwell packing.
