After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson mentioned that Trent Boult is not part of the RR playing 11 for today’s RR vs SRH match. Interestingly, he is not even included in the five substitute members list out of which one can be used as an Impact Player at any moment in the match. It seems that the New Zealand senior pacer was not fit and unavailable for this game. However, it is a big setback for the Rajasthan Royals as Boult had been bowling really well in the ongoing T20 tournament having picked up as many as 10 wickets from 8 games at an economy rate of less than 9.

“Decided to bat first. Conditions also demand the same. Climate has been different. Not much dew in the later half. And sometimes it suits us also. We would’ve wanted to play better standard of cricket. We’ve had hard and honest chats. Would like to come back stronger. Few injury issues in the team. Joe Root makes his debut,” said Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson during the toss.
