SA vs PAK 2nd ODI: South Africa are currently hosting Pakistan for a three-match ODI series where the visitors registered a thrilling 3-wicket victory in the nail-biting 1st ODI match. On the back of a stunning century from their skipper Babar Azam, Pakistan took a brilliant 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Both the teams are now locking horns in the annual pink ODI match at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

After losing yet another toss and being asked to bat first, South Africa got off to an excellent start with their openers, Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram putting up a fine 55-run partnership. But then Markram got out in the 10th over after scoring 39 runs off 34 balls. However, in a very fascinating incident, South African skipper Temba Bavuma saw his bat getting broken after being hit by a 130 kmph delivery from Pakistani all-rounder Faheem Ashraf in the 16th over of the game.

After failing to convert his start in the first South Africa vs Pakistan ODI match on Friday, wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock is looking in a phenomenal touch in the ongoing second ODI. The Proteas swashbuckling openers has already smashed a remarkable half-century and together with skipper Bavuma also batting really well, the hosts are looking well on course to register a fighting total in the SA vs PAK 2nd ODI.

After the third and final ODI match scheduled on April 7, South Africa and Pakistan will face each other in a four-match T20I series starting with the 1st T20I match on 10th April at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. However, South Africa’s IPL 2021 bound players like Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Quinton de Kock, David Miller and Lungi Ngidi will not be available for the T20I series.
