SA vs SL 1st ODI: Top 3 fantasy cricket picks for South Africa vs Sri Lanka Dream11 Team

By Chaitanya Laxman

A historic win in the Test series will certainly boost the Sri Lankans but the ODIs present a different challenge as South Africa is incredibly strong at their home. This should be an exciting series by all means as both teams will have an eye on the World Cup which is approaching and the SA vs SL 1st ODI is a chance to find some answers for both the teams.

There is no dearth of match-winners in both teams and these three players will play a crucial role for their respective teams in the series opener.

#3. Akila Dananjaya-

India exposed South Africa’s weakness against spin in their last series and Sri Lanka will be expecting to do the same. And the man leading the spin threat will be Akila Dananjaya who has even troubled some very good players of spin.

Dananajaya can bowl the leg-break as well as the off-spin with a very little change in the bowling action and has the carrom ball in his arsenal as well. His battle against South Africa’s middle order will be a massive moment in the game as he can run through any batting order on his day.

#2. Quinton de Kock-

Amidst South Africa’s abysmal performance in the Test series, de Kock’s batting stood out as he faced Sri Lanka’s bowling attack with authority and confidence. He is in fine form and will be an important player for South Africa as his contribution at the top of the order can set up things nicely for the home team.

#1.Thisara Perera-

The left-hand batsman was in incredible form in the New Zealand series and he will be looking forward to carry his purple patch.

Perera can be a dangerous customer in the death overs as he can hit hard and big while his medium-pace bowling is more than handy as well.
