Sachin or Virat – Who’s your favorite? WATCH funny conversation between Shubman Gill and Marnus Labuschagne

India and Australia are playing a very good test match here in Sydney. Today being Day 2 saw the test match move on but neither side has taken control yet. The series stands at 1-1 with Australia winning at Adelaide and India taking the honours at Melbourne.

Marnus Labuschagne initiates a fun conversation

Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma opened the batting for India and were playing solidly. The much famed pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood and Pat Cummins wanted to make inroads but the Indian openers were resolute in their defense. So far Mitchell Starc has been able to remove the Indian openers early but not today.

During the third over, when Mitchell Starc was making the new ball talk, Marnus Labuschagne was initiating his own conversation with batsman Shubman Gill. The conversation between the young duo was picked up in the stump mic and it was all good fun. An India Australia test match in Sydney cannot pass by without the mention of one the great batsmen to have played the game Sachin Tendulkar. Eventually Sachin Tendulkar's name was mentioned here when Marnus Labuschagne asked Shubman Gill if he was his favorite batsman. Watch the video here:

Unfortunately for the fans, Shubman Gill didn’t answer the tricky question and we will never know for today if Sachin Tendulkar is Shubman Gill's favourite batsman.

Who is the Best Test Batsman?

Maiden fifty for Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill survived the new ball burst of Mitchell Starc and looked quite capable of handling the other quicks as well. He settled in nicely at the middle and pounced on bad balls to keep the score ticking. He brought up his 50 of exactly 100 balls and then was immediately dismissed by a beauty of a delivery by Pat Cummins. Even though he was disappointed in not carrying on to make a big one, Indians should be pleased with the efforts of the opener and these are encouraging signs for him.
