Harbhajan takes dig at the Windies team on Twitter

Windies lost the first Test against India in a horrific fashion and this performance drew criticism from all corners. The Indian off-spinner too jumped in the bandwagon and tried to troll the visiting team.

He posted a tweet which said, ‘With all due respect to West Indies Cricket but I have a question for u all…will this west Indies team qualify for Ranji quarters from the plate group? From elite it is no possible.’

The Ranji tournament is India’s domestic cricket tournament in which cricket teams from Indian states participate. There are two divisions in the tournament-the Elite and the plate. The strong teams are grouped in the elite division while the weak teams are placed in the plate division.

Harbhajan believes that the current Windies team is not even capable of defeating India’s state cricket teams from elite division.

This tweet from the off-spinner irked a lot of cricket fans and he was trolled heavily for it. But the wittiest and the harshest response came from former Windies pace bowler Tino Best.

Tino Best hits back at Harbhajan’s criticism on Windies

Tino Best in his response said that ‘hey bro didn’t see these cocky tweets vs England…but anyhow the young men will learn.’

In his tweet, Tino Best referred to India’s recent tour of England where Indian team lost the series 1-4. Harbhajan didn’t respond to Best’s tweet.

Windies lost the first Test by an innings and 272 runs, their second largest defeat in Tests. The second Test between the two teams will begin on October 11.
