Legendary leg spin bowler Shane Warne has given bowling tips to Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav for the tour of Australia. Warne has stressed on the bounce Australian surfaces will offer to Kuldeep.
The Indian wrist-spinner spoke about the advice he received from the Australian spinner in an interview he gave to a news channel. He noted that he has always followed Shane Warne and he had a chat with Warne a few days ago.
The Indian spinner said that Warne asked him to meet him and advised him to bowl normally, changing the angle over the wicket to round the wicket. He stated that Warne told him that there will be bounce on Australian wickets and Kuldeep can use that in his favour. The Indian cricketer also feels that if spinners perform well, the team will get success.
The Indian wrist spinner admitted that it will be a challenge for him to bowl in Australia since it will be his first tour Down Under. He feels that he has to keep his basics right while bowling in overseas conditions and keeping himself motivated is also important. He said that he will try to do the same, no variations. Kuldeep explained that he doesn’t see himself as a mystery bowler but rather a quality bowler.
At the same time, Yadav made it clear that he likes all the three types of balls and there is not much difference between the three. He stated that he doesn’t have any problem bowling with any of the balls. And he likes bowling with the Kookaburra ball.
The Indian cricketer cleared that he hasn’t bowled much with the Duke ball and he is used to bowling with SG balls. He added that the Kookaburra is also a good ball.
