Siddharth Kaul thanks Dhoni for offering tips during net sessions

Siddharth Kaul who has been added to India’s squad for the Asia cup has thanked MS Dhoni for offering tips during net sessions and has hailed the Indian wicket-keeper as the encyclopedia of cricket.

Kaul has been roped in as a replacement for the injured Shardul Thakur in the Indian team. Kaul was one among the five players sent by the team management to bowl in the nets ahead of the tournament.

The fast bowler was speaking with the media ahead of India’s clash against Bangladesh in the super four stage of Asia cup when he opened up about his experience of bowling in the nets and the conditions in Dubai.

I have modeled my bowling on Bhuvneshwar: Kaul

Kaul said that it was great to have Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dhoni and Rohit in the nets. He stated that he has modeled his bowling on Bhuvneshwar.

He also admitted that he was really keen on learning about the conditions in Dubai and those jittery times got over in England itself.

Speaking about the training sessions, the fast bowler said that he was just following Dhoni’s instructions and applying them in the nets. He also pointed out that one has to stay hydrated in the hot conditions in order to bowl to the best of ability. He added that he hopes to make use of that small stint in the nets during the upcoming matches.

Bowling wicket to wicket is the key claims Kaul

According to the Indian fast bowler, the wickets in Dubai are like India but he also pointed out that the heat makes it a bit challenging, especially for the bowlers. He remarked that the quick bowlers won’t get enough from such conditions and the key to success would be bowling wicket to wicket.

India will take on Bangladesh on September 21 and will then lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 23 in the super-four stage of Asia Cup.
