Guptill integral part of our team: Larsen

New Zealand team selector Gavin Larsen said that they are delighted to have Martin back on the park for this series.

He explained that the opening batsman is a world-class player and an integral part of their one-day side.

Larsen noted that Guptill and Henry did a good job opening up in Hamilton against India and they are a combination the team management wants to see some more of in this series, before Colin returns to the top for the third game with Kane Williamson resting.

Neesham and Astle replace Bracewell and Sodhi

The Black Caps have also dropped leg spinner Ish Sodhi and pacer Dough Bracewell. Todd Astle and Jimmy Neesham will replace them.

Larsen said that Todd’s another who is returning from a knee injury and after getting limited opportunities against India, the team management is keen to see more of him in this series.
