Bhuvneshwar Kumar SRH: In the second game of the exciting IPL 2021 doubleheader day, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are up against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both the teams are coming into this game after registering superb wins in their previous outings and they will be hoping to continue with the winning momentum. Delhi Capitals have won the toss and opted to bat first on the tricky Chepauk wicket.
After losing the toss, SRH captain David Warner revealed that their premier fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has unfortunately pulled off a thigh strain injury and thus, he will not be playing today. In Bhuvneshwar’s absence, Sunrisers Hyderabad have included left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith in the side as an extra spin option on this turning wicket.
“We have been batting second the whole time, so I don’t think it really matters. The way Kane and Jonny finished off the game last game was that we should have done previously. Obviously, the experienced heads in the middle, we were able to do that. We bowled well, that was the most important thing and the most pleasing thing. Unfortunately, Bhuvi’s pulled up, bit sore. We have got Suchith coming in for him. That’s what we feel is best team to play against these guys. Each wicket is pretty much the same. We have to assess here with the ball first and then chase down whatever they set,” said SRH captain David Warner during the toss.
On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals have also made a change to their winning combination from the previous game as Axar Patel makes a return to the side in place of Lalit Yadav. Axar who tested positive for Covid-19 before the start of the IPL 2021 season has completely recovered while following all the necessary BCCI protocols and now he will be playing his first game of this season for the Delhi Capitals.
