Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan 3rd ODI: The third and final ODI game between hosts Sri Lanka and Afghanistan is scheduled to begin on 30 November, 2022 (Wednesday) at the Pallekele Stadium in Pallekele. It was quite unfortunate that the second ODI encounter between these two teams ended without a result due to heavy rains especially in the second innings on Sunday. Afghanistan have a lead of 1-0 in the three-match ODI series after having registered a historic 60-run win over Sri Lanka during the first ODI.
As seen during the first two ODI matches, the pitch at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele has not had much swing on offer even during the first few overs. On a slow wicket, both the Sri Lanka and Afghanistan spinners have extracted a lot of assistance from the track so far in Pallekele and the same is expected to happen during the Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan 3rd ODI on Wednesday. It is generally a high-scoring venue but batting first still remains a better option due to spin-friendly conditions and the pitch is expected to slow down as the game progresses.
