Star South Africa cricketer joins Rangpur Riders in BPL

Star South African cricketer AB de Villiers has joined Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League. The explosive batsman will feature for the franchise for the remaining six matches of the tournament.

The Bangladesh Premier League has attracted plenty of big names and the inclusion of De Villiers is the latest addition. Riders already have a strong batting line-up which includes superstar T20 batsman Chris Gayle and England batsman Alex Hales.

Riders have had a tough time in this BPL so far. They have played six games but have won only two of them.The franchise would be expecting that inclusion of the star South African batsman will help them in changing their fortunes.

ABD: The original T20 superstar

ABD is known for his exploits in T20 cricket and is a powerful striker of the ball. His incredible ability to hit the ball at any part of the ground has given him the nickname Mr.360 degrees.

The South African batsman has played franchise cricket across the globe and has tons of experience behind him. Add to it his sterling acrobatic fielding skills and you have a T20 superstar that can win you games at any situation.

The Proteas player recently took retirement from international cricket and is now focusing completely on franchise cricket across the globe.

Rangpur Riders squad

Riders have several high-profile cricketers in their squad for 2019 season. The team includes Bangladesh’s ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza and star player Sohag Gazi.
