Suryakumar Yadav ODI debut is very well on the cards in the first IND vs ENG ODI match on March 23 due to his brilliant performances in his debut T20I series. India registered a comprehensive 36-run victory over England in the final T20I match to clinch the closely fought five-match T20I series 3-2. Now both the heavyweight teams will be locking horns in a three-match ODI series with all the three games scheduled to take place at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune behind closed doors.
After his heroics in the domestic circuit and the IPL, Mumbai batsman Suryakumar Yadav kickstarted his international career with a remarkable innings of 57 runs off just 31 balls which eventually proved to be a Man of the Match in India’s win against England in the 4th T20I match. In the next game, he smashed another crucial cameo of 32 runs to help India register a mammoth total in the pressure series decider. And now as per the recent reports, Suryakumar is likely to be part of the playing XI in the first ODI against England.
“It’ll be interesting because there are a few youngsters finding an opportunity in the one-day set-up for the first time. I’m very keen to see how they go about executing their skills against a strong England side,” said Indian captain Virat Kohli on the eve of the first IND vs ENG ODI game.
Apart from Suryakumar’s ODI debut, it is also understood that one of the newcomers in Krunal Pandya or Prasidh Krishna could be in line to make their ODI debut in the first match against England. Pandya surely looks as the frontrunner to seal the second spinner’s slot with Yuzvendra Chahal as the premier spin option. Also, in case Suryakumar gets a game, it is very much likely that Shreyas Iyer will be warming the bench. Therefore, all the cricket fanatics need to be watchful during Today Match Prediction in the Dream11 Prediction game.
