    The T20 World Cup 2022 is around the corner and the excitement and the event have taken their toll on the fans. The tournament will kick start from 16th October in Australia with the final set to take place on 13th November in Melbourne. Talking about the Indian Cricket Team, they have been preparing well for the event as they defeated Australia and South Africa in the bilateral series ahead of the tournament.

    T20 World Cup 2022: Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of the tournament

    As the preparations for the T20 World Cup 2022 are underway, the Rohit Sharma-led has suffered a major blow as pacer spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the marquee event. The pace suffered a back injury after the conclusion of the Australia series and was ruled out of the ongoing South Africa series.

    There were many reports that suggested that he will miss the T20 World Cup as well but BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and head coach Rahul Dravid said that there were optimistic about him being available.

    But BCCI has confirmed that he’s ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup. Releasing the official statement, the governing body said that they will also name the replacement soon.

    “The BCCI Medical team has ruled out Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. The decision was taken following a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists. The BCCI will be naming a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah in the squad for the marquee tournament soon.

    T20 World Cup 2022: Mohammad Shami likely to named as the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah

    With Jasprit Bumrah being out of the tournament, pacers Mohammad Shami, Deepak Chahar, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Umran Malik will be in contention to grab the place in the Indian side.

    However, it is expected that Mohammad Shami will get a nod ahead of all the other players. Him being the senior pacer and his ability to trouble batters his impeccable line and lengths, he can be the first choice in the team.
