England coach Trevor Bayliss has hailed the win over the No.1 Test side to be on par with the Ashes triumph and he has also said that the side might make some changes in the last Test match as they have already swept off the visitors by 3-1 in the five-match Test series.

“It is right up there with the Ashes where our team triumphed against Australia. India are a very good team and they are the no.1 Test side. To outplay them in a series is a great feeling,” said Bayliss after England won the fourth Test against India at Southampton by 60 runs.

He pointed out the difficult conditions of the pitch and backed his team by saying, “There were some difficult conditions when they played on Day 1. We were under pressure but the players showed character which is a great sign.”

England promoted Moeen Ali to bat at number 3 in the second innings and Root came down to bat at number 4. Bayliss hailed Moeen Ali to be fit for the spot in the right conditions.

“I am quite sure that we will be discussing a few things after a few days. Batsmen would obviously want to have a settled batting position.”

“Moeen Ali has been a flexible player for our side. When Root asked him about his position he was keen to grab the opportunity.”

Bayliss also reflected on the idea of fielding both James Anderson and Stuart Broad in the next series.

“We will sit together and take a call on the fitness and availability of the players. We want to win the next match and I see Broad and Anderson playing with us at the moment.”

“They are very successful bowlers and it will go down to how their bodies are feeling after this series.”

England takes on India for the next clash from September 7 at Oval, London.
