In batting, the skipper Rohit Sharma stepped up to anchor the chase and he along with Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni steered the team home with ease.

Rohit remained not out on 83 runs while Dhawan scored 40 and Dhoni made 33 runs.
