Ishant Sharma

Virat Kohli is known for his witty and funny comments but it seems that the Indian captain can’t just get enough of them. Kohli is popular for his social media comments trolling his teammates and this time it was his close friend and fast bowler, Ishant Sharma who was at the receiving end of things.

Kohli’s comment leaves Insta fans in splits

Ishant Sharma, the Indian pacer, had posted a picture of himself on Instagram. In the image, the fast bowler looks quite dashing and can be seen showing a party sign. He added a caption on this picture, “You only live once”. His skipper was quick to spot this caption and posted a hilarious comment trolling the tall lanky pacer from Delhi.

Virat Kohli wrote, “Hamein toh pata hi nahi tha”, which literally translates to “As if we didn’t know that”. Virat’s comment attracted a lot of eyeballs and the fans on Instagram were left in splits.

Knowing how close the two cricketers have been, it does seem like a friendly troll more than anything else. Ishant Sharma and Virat Kohli have known each other since their under-19 days and their friendship has only grown with time.

Ishant, finally a consistent performer

It could take a while before we see Ishant and Virat together. Ishant is not the part of the ODI squad anymore and India will take on Australia for a three-match ODI series. After this, Virat and his men will fly to New Zealand for an anticipated tour. They are set to play five T20Is, three ODIs and two tests in New Zealand.

Ishant Sharma will be with the Test squad as usual. Sharma has made massive improvements in Test cricket since Kohli’s appointment and has credited the skipper on various platforms. Ishant’s record in the past two years has been unbelievable as he has picked up 66 wickets from just 17 matches.
