Virat Singh IPL: When a team fails to execute plans and the bad run of results seem unending, the easiest way to haul the team out often goes through making changes. Or it seems. That’s what Sunrisers Hyderabad has done ahead of the match against Mumbai Indians. David Warner revealed at the toss, won by MI captain Rohit Sharma, that a total of four changes have been made in the MI vs SRH IPL 2021 match which is being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Opportunity knocked at his door as David Warner and Co handed him a debut against Mumbai Indians.

  • Born on 8 December 1997, inĀ East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, Virat Singh plays for his state team in the domestic circuit.
  • Virat Singh plays left-handed and can bat either at the top or in the middle-order.
  • Attention turned towards the 22-year old during the 2019-20 Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament when he racked up 343 runs in just 10 games at an outstanding strike rate of 142.32, making him the highest run-getter of that season.
  • Sunrisers Hyderabad took notice and paid a whopping 1.9 crores for his services in the IPL 2020 auction, which was nearly ten times his base price.
