Hasaranga Bravo

The West Indians have started their T20I series against the Sri Lankans in a grand manner after a comfortable win in the 1st T20I. The match could have finished well within 10 overs of Sri Lanka’s chase if not for some batting brilliance from Kusal Perera and Wanindu Hasaranga.

The defending champions in this format of the game is lead by the inspiring Kieron Pollard that also included some T20 specialists Dwayne Bravo, Amdre Russell, Lendl Simmons who all have shone in the 1st T20I.

Wayward shot from Wanindu Hasaranga

The veteran Dwayne Bravo who has come out of his retirement in the shortest format of the game was picked to play in the 1st T20I match between the West Indies and Sri Lanka. The master of tricks has outdone the batsman Wanindu Hasaranga who was trying to outsmart the legend himself.

Here is the video of the shot that Wanindu Hasaranga tried against Dwayne Bravo.

The partnership between Kusal Perera and Wanindu Hasaranga was worth a gold for the Sri Lankans and even was looking set to take their team home after being 5 down inside the first 5 overs for nothing, chasing a mammoth 197 runs.

The big fast bowler from Jamaica Oshane Thomas who was met with a life threatening accident few month back was the destructor in chief as he took the first 5 wickets of the Sri Lankans that sent back all of their top order batters to the shed. He finished with figures of 5 for 28 in his 3 overs.

Russell-Pollard show all the way through!

Earlier when the Windies batted brilliantly to give the Lankans a stiff target of 197 runs in 20 overs. Though the experienced opener Lendl Simmons top scored for the Windies with a well compiled 67 runs from 51 balls, it was that man Andre Russell and the skipper Kieron Pollard who stole the show with their massive hitting.

Andre Russell also removed Kusal Perera with the ball who was looking dangerous till that point in time with a pin point yorker.
