The Tournament will kick-off on 15 September and bids adieu on 29 September. India are the defending champion of the tournament. The Indian team won the T20 format of the cup in 2016 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni while Indian campaign of this edition lies under the new captain and seasoned ODI opener Rohit Sharma. It will be jittery to see him taking on the Asian nations to retain the trophy in UAE where the team is not very much use to with the conditions.
