Watch: Captain Rohit Sharma enjoys playing Video game ahead of the Asia Cup 2018

With impressive records up his sleeve, the stand-in Captain Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian ODI team in the forthcoming Asia Cup against five Asian contenders. He had been the leader of the pack before in Nidahas Trophy against Sri-Lanka and Bangladesh which was a massive success for him as a captain. He will be taking the further responsibility of Team India to retain their Asia Cup title head-on.

What Skipper has new in his kitty for Asia Cup?

India will start their campaign against Hong Kong on 18th September and our stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma shared his preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup.

Rohit Sharma’s Instagram post:

Yes! He is accumulating all his excitement to lead the team by practising his one of the favourite hobby aka Video Games! Rohit shared a Video on Instagram where he was captured playing a Video game. He posted it on social media platform with the caption “It’s always exciting (sometimes scary) to dive deep into this virtual world of #VideoGames. Which is your favourite game? #VideoGameDay,”

On Wednesday, US celebrated the National Video Game Day, and #VideoGameDay was trending on all the social media platforms. Rohit shared a post as well to be a part of it.

Fans of Hit-Man Sharma knew that he is a video game freak. Sometimes his wife Ritika partnered him on the same page, but she usually helps in capturing all the stuff for sharing it on social media.

What’s ahead?

Asia Cup is isolated into the two groups comprising six Asian nations in which Group A consist of India, Pakistan and Hong Kong while Group B includes Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The Tournament will kick-off on 15 September and bids adieu on 29 September. India are the defending champion of the tournament. The Indian team won the T20 format of the cup in 2016 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni while Indian campaign of this edition lies under the new captain and seasoned ODI opener Rohit Sharma. It will be jittery to see him taking on the Asian nations to retain the trophy in UAE where the team is not very much use to with the conditions.
