Spectacular Sakariya Catch sends Dinesh Karthik Back – WATCH

Chetan Sakariya catch: Rajasthan Royals’ young cricketer Chetan Sakariya has impressed everyone with his accurate bowling. Now the youngster has also showcased his acrobatic fielding skills as he took an outstanding catch to dismiss KKR batsman Dinesh Karthik.

In the KKR vs RR IPL match, KKR’s famed batting order crumbled once again as the likes of Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell failed to make an impact. Dinesh Karthik, however looked in good touch and carried the KKR’s innings in the middle overs.

After getting himself set, Karthik looked to explode in the death overs. On the last ball of the 18th over, the KKR batsman tried to hit Chris Morris over extra-cover. Karthik made a solid connection and the ball was traveling at a decent pace.

But Chetan Sakariya, stationed at extra-cover in the 30 yards circle, jumped in the air and took the catch with both hands above his head. The RR bowler timed his jump to perfection and had the awareness to use his both hands to take a neat catch.

Sakariya continues to have a dream IPL

Apart from his brilliant fielding effort, Sakaria also contributed with his bowling. He bowled 4 overs and claimed one wicket for 31 runs. He bent his back to extract bounce from the surface and forced KKR Nitish Rana to edge the ball behind the wicket-keeper.

Sakariya has also claimed two three-wicket hauls in this year’s IPL so far in 5 games. So he now has 7 wickets in 5 games in this season so far.

Fans too appreciated Sakariya’s efforts and praised him on Twitter.

KKR end the innings at 133 runs

Sakaria’s brilliance ended Karthik’s promising innings of 25 runs off 24 balls. Karthik’s fall was a major blow to KKR and the team could only manage 133 runs in their 20 overs.
