For the second time in a week, Hardik Pandya has exhibited his prowess in the ongoing DY Patil T20 Tournament. Coming from an injury layoff, the Indian all-rounder smashed unbeaten 158, studded with 20 sixes.
Hardik Pandya, representing Reliance 1 against BPCL in the semifinal of DY Patil T20, came in to bat at two down after openers Anmolpreet Singh and Shikhar Dhawan were dismissed cheaply.
The 26-year old underwent successful surgery in October last year for an acute lower-back injury. After a long absence from the action, Pandya presented a case for national reckoning with an excellent display with both bat and bowl in the ongoing tournament.
Earlier this week, Hardik Pandya scored a 37-ball hundred in the ongoing tournament and also snared 5 for 26 in his fours overs in the same match.
Hardik Pandya is likley to be named in Team India’s squad for the forthcoming ODI series against South Africa.
