Pakistan opener Abid Ali was hit on his privates part while batting during the first innings of the 2nd test against England on Thursday. It happened on a big-booming inswinger of Chris Woakes as the batsman failed to negate the moment and got hit on his box.
Pakistan opener was batting alongside his skipper Azhar Ali during the first innings of the 2nd test at the Rose Bowl, Southampton. The incident took place during the 18th over of the innings as a big inswinger from Chris Woakes came in sharply to hit Ali in the privates. The delivery struck him right on the box. The nip-backer moves in a long way after pitching and Abid Ali was beaten on the inside edge and it hit flush on the box. He walked away immediately to draw a deep breath.
The incident stopped the game for a while as Ali caught his breath and physio also had to rush out to check on the batsman. The commentators and the English skipper saw the lighter side of the incident as well as Joe Root could be seen laughing during the break.
