It seems that in the 5th ODI against India, nothing went right for the Windies. First, they performed poorly with the bat and then with the ball they ran out of luck as they got the wicket of Rohit Sharma but on a no-ball.

Oshane Thomas gets Rohit’s wicket on a no ball

Windies started brilliantly while defending a low total against India in the fifth ODI. Thomas sent back opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan in the second over of the innings and then troubled Sharma frequently.

The pacer got the better of the Indian opener in the eighth over as he found the outside edge of Sharma’s bat which was caught by the wicket-keeper.

The pacer started celebrating but the Umpire signalled a no-ball and Thomas couldn’t control his disappointment.

The Indian vice-captain however didn’t notice the umpire’s call and started walking towards the pavilion. Indian captain Virat Kohli who was standing at the non-striker’s end called Sharma back to the crease.

Rohit takes India home in style

After getting the reprieve, the Indian opener didn’t look back and ensured that he finished the chase for the team.

Sharma stood not out on 61 as India chased the target of 104 in 15 overs.

On the other hand, Thomas was extremely unlucky in the 5th ODI. The pacer had the opportunity to claim wickets of India’s top three batsmen but luck and unforced errors ruined the party for him.

The pacer claimed the wicket of Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan in his first over and then had almost got the wicket of Indian skipper Kohli. He found the outside edge of Kohli but Jason Holder standing in the slips dropped the catch and to add insult to injury, the ball resulted in a boundary. Then in the eighth over, he got wicket of Sharma but that was a no-ball.

Thomas finished the innings with figures of one wicket for 33 runs in four overs.
