It is widely known that cricket has always been the first love of Sachin Tendulkar. However, Sachin Tendulkar made it clear that cricket and straight drives are his first love. Sachin Tendulkar revealed his first love via Twitter as he shared a video of nets session with the caption, “My first love”. The Indian great was seen playing a couple of straight drives in the video.
The video of the practice session was from Sydney, where he was coaching Ricky Ponting XI team in the Bushfire Cricket Bash. Ricky Ponting XI played a match with Adam Gilchrist XI to raise funds for the bushfire victims in Australia. Both teams had several retired superstars from the game including Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Brian Lara, Yuvraj Singh, Matthew Hayden, and Justin Langer among others.
Sachin was not supposed to play any part in the game initially but he was challenged by Ellyse Perry to bat against her for an over during the innings break. Sachin Tendulkar gladly accepted the challenge and also hit Perry for a boundary on the first ball of the over.
