Suresh Raina 50: It will be an understatement to say that Chennai Super Kings missed Suresh Raina last season. CSK’s batting fell like a house of cards at times last season during a campaign which is the worst for the three-time IPL champions in the IPL history so far. He is the glue, together with captain fantastic MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja, who holds the team together. Though the whole team underperformed last season, it’s also fait to say that Raina’s absence made CSK’s batting weaker in IPL 2020.
Raina may have been out of action for a while now, but the 34-year-old Indian international has turned every page on during a rigorous preparation for the IPL 2021. And it showed in the CSK vs DC match, where he looked like as if the was never out of the game, as if he is still playing at his prime.

Kagiso Rabada and Axar Patel both were missing from DC Playing 11 against CSK. The South African fast bowler is serving a mandatory seven-day quarantine period after arriving from South Africa last week. The 25-year-old should be available for selection for DC’s next game on April 15 against Rajasthan Royals.
Axar Patel was tested positive for Covid-19 and is in self isolation as per medical protocols. Anrich Nortje is another big name player missing from Delhi Capitals Starting XI.
Delhi Capitals are being led by Rishabh Pant in IPL 2021 after regular captain Shreyas Iyer dislocated his shoulder during India vs England series.
