Watch: Team India gears up ahead of ODI series

Team India scripted history by winning the four match Test series against Australia and now Kohli’s men are practising hard for the ODI series.

Dhoni, Dhawan, Jadhav sweat it out in nets

In a video clip posted by a news agency, Indian players are seen practising in the nets ahead of the ODI series against Australia.

MS Dhoni who wasn’t a part of India’s T20I and Test team spent a good time in the nets working on his batting while opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan too had a batting session. Dhawan was prolific for India in the T20I series and the team would be hoping  that he continues his purple patch in the white-ball format.

Kedar Jadhav who missed a few games in the past due to injuries had a session with batting coach Sanjay Bangar and the duo was seen working on short pitched deliveries.

Other Indian players too spent some time in the nets and geared up for the ODI series.

ODI series to start from January 12

The three-match ODI series between Australia and India will start from January 12th. The visitors drew the T20I series and then registered a historic win in the Test series by winning two Tests. The second ODI will be played on January 15th and the third ODI on January 18th.

India have recalled Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni for this series while Mohammad Siraj has been added in the team as a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah who has been rested by the team management.
