WATCH: Tom Banton’s reverse sweep SIX will leave you awestruck

English opener Tom Baton smashed a stunning six off Pakistan spin-bowling all-rounder Imad Wasim with a reverse sweep during the second T20I played between the teams on Sunday. Banton once again looked in a menacing form after playing a blinder during the first T20 which was washed out due to rain.

During the 2nd T20I between England and Pakistan, the England Batsman, Banton looked at his destructive best once again. England were chasing a stiff target of 196 runs and openers Tom Banton and Jonny Bairstow provided them with a flying start. At the very first delivery of the 3rd over of the English innings, Banton reverse swept Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim for a splendid six. It was a dart from Imad and Banton used the pace on the ball to nail it over deep backward point.

The two sides met in the 2nd T20I on Sunday with an idea to take a lead in the series. The home side won the toss and invited Pakistan to have a go with the bat first. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman gave Pakistan a brilliant start as the duo added 72 runs for the first wicket. The skipper also completed his fifty before getting dismissed. Mohammad Hafeez also looked in full-flow as the veteran batsman scored 69 runs off 36 deliveries to take Pakistan to a healthy total of 195/4 in 20 overs.

In reply, Jonny Bairstow and Tom Banton added 66 runs for the first wicket to start on the positive foot. The leg-spinner Shadab Khan consumed both openers on the consecutive deliveries. However, Dawid Malan (54 runs not out) and Eoin Morgan (66 runs off 33 deliveries) added 112 runs for the 3rd wicket to take Pakistan out of the game. Malan remained not out till the end to take England home. They registered a 5 wickets win over Pakistan and took a 1-0 lead in the series. The 3rd and the final T20I will be played on Tuesday.
