MSD-SIX

MS Dhoni is one of the world’s best finishers. His six-hitting abilities are a well-known fact for each and every cricket fan in the country. But for their disappointment, the CSK captain was not in the best of his touch in IPL 2020 so far. He failed to make big scores and chase down totals in this edition of the tournament. The less number of sixes that he hit in the tournament was also an area of concern for the fans. But from now on all the billion MSD fans can breathe in peace. In the recently concluded match between CSK and SRH, he scored a quick-fire 21 of just 13 balls, and interestingly it included a massive 102-M six.

MSD launches a massive six

CSK were struggling for form coming into this match against SRH. And rightly so they changed their entire combination and send in young Sam Curran to open the innings with Faf du Plessis. Even though Faf went for a rare duck, Sam Curran impressed with a blistering 21 ball 31. Watson and Rayudu build the innings from thereon and it was left to MS Dhoni to finish things off in style. And guess what? He didn’t disappoint as well. He scored a quick-fire 13 ball 21 runs to help CSK reach a defendable total of 167-6. But what struck the most was the one humungous six that he scored off the bowling of T. Natarajan. He who tried to nail a Yorker in the 5th ball of the 19th over missed it by some distance, and it was landed right inside MSD’s hitting arc. Dhoni in his signature style whacked it over long-on for a massive 102-M six. Natarajan followed it up with a perfect wide Yorker in the next ball and dismissed his idol in the last ball of his spell.

CSK secure their third win

SRH who came into bat second suffered early blows as both their openers Jonny Bairstow and David Warner went back to the pavilion after failing to score big. But Williamson who followed them, played a much-needed anchoring innings as he scored a 39 ball 57. But his single-handed effort was not enough to save SRH from the jaws of defeat as they stumbled towards the second half of the innings. They thereby lost to CSK by 20 runs.
