NZ vs IND 2nd ODI

The Indian cricket team has been on a roll lately. They are winning every competitive series that they participate in for the last 6 months. The mood in the dressing room has been upbeat. There are a lot of positives to take through but there is also scope for improvement.

Bubbly characters bring out enjoyable moments!

There are a variety of characters in the Indian dressing room. The strength of the team lies in everyone enjoying each other’s success and at the same time having a great competition for spots in the playing 11. Yuzvendra Chahal is not someone who is assured of his spot in the XI and has to compete with fellow leg spinner Kuldeep. But, that doesn’t stop him from enjoying the game and having a few light moments on and off the pitch.

The leggie can be seen regularly posting humourous content in Chahal TV and also his Instagram and Twitter handle. Watch Virat Kohli, Chahal and others having a light moment on the field in the clip below.

Mimicking Munro!
Ahead of New Zealand’s innings in the first ODI here in Hamilton, Indians had already posted a mammoth total of 347 and were confident of winning the game. Before the New Zealand openers came to the centre, we can see Virat and co mimicking the New Zealand opener Colin Munro. They were seen rehearsing the pull shot that Munro plays off his hips and were smiling at it. It was all in a light mood but this also shows that they have analyzed and observed the batsman.

Unwanted trend continues for India
The recent trend that seems to follow the Indians is that they are losing the 1st match of the ODI series comprehensively but somehow managing to clinch the series by winning the remaining 2 games. The same happened against West Indies and Australia in the home series and India started on the same note against the Kiwis in their first overseas assignment of this year.
India will be looking to bounce back in the 2nd ODI which is scheduled to happen on Saturday in Auckland.
