Windies Women
West Indies Women vs India Women: West Indies Women have suffered a massive blow as their captain has been ruled out of the ongoing T20I series against India with “Grade 1 Medial Collateral Ligament Sprain”. In a media release, Cricket West Indies confirmed that Stafanie Taylor won’t take any further part in the series.
The star all-rounder sustained the injury in the last game of the ODI series and did not feature in the first two T20Is. Guyanese all-rounder Cherry-Ann Fraser comes into the squad as Taylor’s replacement.

Anisa Mohammed to lead

The seasoned spinner Anisa Mohammed will stand in for Taylor, while Shemaine Campbelle will be her deputy.

“It is very disappointing to lose Stafanie at this crucial time and she will no doubt be missed but her health and recovery are of utmost importance. We have the ICC T20 World Cup in a few months and it is critical that Stafanie gets the time to recover and return to full fitness,” said CWI chief selector Ann Browne-John. ”

India are leading the five-match T20I series 2-0 after their thumping wins in the first two encounters.
