Known for his ability to take up crucial wickets, this left-arm spinner had been a mainstay in the Indian red ball set up for over the last seven years. He has just played 10 matches against Aussies and has the best bowling figures of 6/63.

This crafty off-spinner from Tamil Nadu has been one of the prime reasons for India’s success in the red ball over the last few years. With 77 wickets to his name in just 15 matches, he along with his fellow counterpart Jadeja had been making the lives difficult for Australian batsmen whenever they had toured India during this period. It is also to be noted that, he has enjoyed success down under as well. His best figures against Australia are 7/103.

Australia’s legendary modern-day off-spinner Nathan Lyon leads this illustrious list with 85 wickets. He had been a permanent member of the Aussie side during the last decade and he was their main weapon especially while touring India. He has played 18 matches against India during this period and even has the best bowling figures of 8/50 in one innings. With 7 five-wicket hauls to his name, he is the only Australian bowler to feature in this list.
