Who won Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd Test? Check PAK vs NZ Man of the Match Award winner

Pakistan have ended their home season without a single win to their name. They have been awful in this world test championship cycle and they can do nothing about it as their resources are bizarre. Pakistan need bowlers who could take 20 opposition wickets in a game and they lack them big time. The absence of Shaheen Afridi has hurt them massively and they don’t play a test in Pakistan in this year post this test.

PAK vs NZ 2023: Test series ends in a draw

New Zealand could have won both the tests in hindsight but due to bad light, both the games ended in a draw. Pakistan were coming into the series after 4 consecutive test defeats, 1 against Australia and 3 against England and all at their home. They badly needed to give something to their fans to rejoice something but both the tests were a massive disappointment to their fans.

On the flipside, Pakistan fans should be happy that Pakistan held their nerves in both the tests to not lose the game. The comeback of Sarfaraz Ahmed has been simply outstanding to say the least. He had crossed fifty in each of the four innings and scored a 100 in the last day of the 2nd test. It was because of him that Pakistan had the chance to win the 2nd test but due to lack of support from the other end, Sarfaraz Ahmed perished in the end without taking his team over the line.

As the 2nd test ended in a draw, the test series ended in a draw with the first test ending in a draw as well.

NZ vs PAK: Sarfaraz Ahmed bags the man of the match

Sarfaraz Ahmed finished the series as the highest run scorer from both the teams. He was brought into the team in place of Mohammad Rizwan who was going through a lean patch in the England series. The former skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed grabbed the opportunity with both the hands and delivered a man of the series performance. He scored 335 runs at an average of 83 across the 2 test series.
