Rohit Sharma admits that he can’t compete with his teammates

Mumbai Indians are known for massive power hitters in their team and the likes of Quinton de Kock, Chris Lynn, Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard stand tall when it comes to hitting the ball 10 rows back into the stands. When a fan asked hit-man whether he will win the six-hitting challenge between him and his teammates Hardik Pandya, Lynn and Pollard, the shrewd captain in Rohit Sharma admitted that he is no match to those powerful guys and will be happy to hit fours and odd six here and there.

Here’s how Rohit Sharma answered the question.

Can Rohit Sharma defend his title?

The defending champions in Mumbai Indians will be waiting to defend their trophy which no other team in the history of IPL have done apart from Chennai Super Kings who defended successfully in 2011 edition.

Mumbai have only made their arsenal stronger this time around and they have got Chris Lynn and Nathan Coulter-Nile in this auction as a backup for Lasith Malinga and Quinton de Kock. They already have a solid core in Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, the Pandya brothers and Kieron Pollard. Can MI be the 2nd team in the history of IPL to defend the title?
