India squad for WI vs IND ODIs: In a massive breaking news development, the visiting Indian team have announced their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series in West Indies. India are scheduled to play as many as five T20I matches and three ODI game in the Caribbean following the conclusion of their England tour. The first ODI between West Indies and India is scheduled to begin on 22 July, 2022 at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced a 16-member squad for the three ODI games against West Indies. The big update is that senior opener Shikhar Dhawan will captain a young India ODI side with left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja named as his deputy. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are not part of this ODI team. India have named a rather inexperienced squad for the West Indies ODIs that includes three frontline spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel.
