WI vs PAK 2nd Test: Possible Playing 11 of West Indies

Share

WI Playing 11: Having registered a narrow win in the first Test, West Indies will be up against Pakistan in the second Test at Sabina Park, Jamaica. WI’s fast bowlers are looking in great form with young Jayden Seales and experienced Kemar Roach forming a great combination. The pair’s crucial 17-run partnership took Windies home in a closely fought contest. Despite their recent batting struggles, West Indies will be confident going into this Test and will be looking for a historic series win over Pakistan. Both teams have played a total of 53 Tests in which Pakistan leads West Indies 20-18. 15 matches have been drawn.

Team News

  • Shamarh Brooks could replace Nkrumah Bonner at No. 3.
  • Jomel Warrican hardly played any role in the first Test given the seamer-friendly conditions. Alzarri Joseph can replace him.

Despite the win in the first Test, WI have lots of questions to answer. The batting order looks fragile with skipper Kraigg Brathwaite the only trusted batter. They will hope that someone from the middle order plays a big innings. They will be tested against high quality Pakistan attack. The fast bowling is their strength as Roach continues to show his worth. Jayden Seales has shown the ability to pick up wickets in his short career. Jason Holder too, has been excellent with the ball.
