Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah admitted that India's bowling in the death overs against Windies wasn't up to the mark but at the same point he made it clear that they will be better prepared for the 4th ODI which will be played tomorrow, on October 28th.
The Indian pace bowler was speaking with the media after the third ODI. He stated that they bowled well till the 35th-40th over and he admitted that they gave away a bit of runs towards the end, but he feels that’s the part of the game.
He explained that in the position they bowled, there’s no guarantee of success. He added that somedays it will go well, somedays it won’t.
The right-arm pacer felt that Bhuvneshwar Kumar who leaked runs in the death overs was clear in his plans but the batsmen were in a better place.
Bumrah said that in the next ODI they will be better prepared when they bowl at the death.
The Indian pace bowler accepted that India gave a little bit of runs in the end, so maybe, that could be the difference. But overall, he felt that the bowling performance was not bad.
He noted that the Windies played well and you have to give credit to the batsmen.
Bumrah who was rested for the first two ODIs in this series made a solid comeback in the team by claiming four wickets in the game. He removed both the Windies openers early in the innings and claimed the big wicket of Shai Hope in the death overs with a terrific yorker.
However the lack of support from other bowlers allowed Windies to pile up a match-winning total of 283 runs on the board.
