Who won today’s IPL match?: The 42nd match match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 saw Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) squaring off with each other at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It was a low thrilling encounter that saw both the sides displayed a staggering bowling performance. But it was the Rishabh Pant-led side who held their nerves better and registered their fourth win of the season.

Put into bat first, KKR didn’t have a great start with bat as they lost early wickets and were tumbling at 35/4. Skipper Shreyas Iyer steadied his side’s innings and scored a valuable 42 runs. KKR tumbled once again as after Iyer they lost wickets in clusters. But Nitish Rana scored a sensational half-century and along with Rinku Singh, who scored 23 runs, and helped their side post a fighting total of 146 runs on the board.

KKR then turned the tables and had a dream start as they removed Prithvi Shaw on the first ball and then removed Mitchell Marsh in the second over. David Warner played a counter-attacking innings of 42 runs. After his wicket Lalit Yadav (22) and Rishabh Pant (2) fell early as DC found themselves tumbling at 84/5. But in the end, Rovman Powell held his nerve well and made sure that his side end on the winning note. He scored 33 runs in 16 balls to win the match by 4 wickets for his side.

Delhi Capitals leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav was awarded Player of the Match in today’s encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The Chinaman bowler displayed a sensational show of slow bowling and returned with 3/14 to help his win the match. He removed the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Baba Indrajith, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell. Notably, this was Kuldeep’s fourth Player of the match award in IPL.
