The high-octane 4-match T20I series is all about to unfold between England and New Zealand starting on August 30. The first game of the series will be played at Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street, UK. This will be the first clash between the two sides since the 2022 T20 World Cup in November.
As we build up to witness a close encounter in the upcoming ENG vs NZ Dream11 clash, here is everything that you need to know about the first T20I match of the series.

Table of Contents
England and New Zealand have met each other 23 times in T20Is. Out of these 23 games, England have won 14 whereas New Zealand have come out victorious on 8 occasions. It is quite obvious that England have always had the last laugh over the Black Caps. However, their current track record in T20Is is quite poor, to say the least. The two-time T20 World Cup champions suffered a 3-0 whitewash against an average-looking Bangladesh side. On the other hand, New Zealand are coming into this fixture with an impressive 2-1 T20I series victory over the UAE.
Form Guide

The deck at Riverside Ground offers a balanced surface but tends to lean more in favor of the batsmen. The fast bowlers may get some movement off the deck. The breeze flowing across the ground due to the low stands helps the bowlers in swinging the new ball. It won’t be easy for the batters early in their innings. We have seen scores below 150 on 24 out of 66 occasions. It suggests that the bowlers have the upper hand. The batters have their task cut out and will have to grind hard for their runs.

Tim Seifert vs England in ODI
Mitchell Santner vs England in ODI
Both teams are pretty much neck and neck in terms of their overall track record. They are world-class sides packed with a lot of experience and firepower. It is certainly not an easy task to predict an obvious winner. But by looking at England’s head-to-head record against New Zealand in T20I cricket, a win for England is likely on the cards.
Wicket-keepers: Jos Buttler Batsmen: Devon Conway, Tim Seifert, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone All-rounder: Sam Curran, Mitchell Santner, Jimmy Neesham Bowlers: Gus Atkinson, Tim Southee, Matt Henry
For Small League, Head to Head contest: James Neesham, Jos Buttler
For Grand League, Mega Contest: Sam Curran, Mitchell Santner
Tim Seifer can be a very explosive batsman at the top of the order. He flexed his muscles in the recently concluded T20I series against UAE and scored a fifty as well. Moeen Ali can be someone who can add a lot of stability to your lineup. The bloke is equally capable with the bat and ball in the hand and can bat anywhere in the order. Harry Brook has blown hot and cold in this year’s IPL edition. We cannot guarantee if he can come good with his batting ahead of this match.
