AUS vs IND Dream11 2nd ODI Match Prediction | Who Will Win Today Match

Nagpur, March 05, Tuesday at 01:30 PM IST

With a typical MS Dhoni chase at Hyderabad, India registered 6 wickets win in the first ODI to take the 1-0 lead in the five matches ODI series. Now, the second ODI will be played at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur tomorrow noon at 01:30 PM IST.

Middle order at the rescue

With the middle-order playing an instrumental role in the run-chase, the 6 wickets win at Hyderabad in the first ODI comes as a satisfying victory for the hosts. After being reduced to 99-4, MS Dhoni (59*) and Kedar Jadhav (81*) batted brilliantly in the middle order and not only overcame the pressure but also guided the side to an easy win while keeping a check on the net run-rate. The duo accounted for an unbeaten 141-run stand for the fifth wicket and resurrected the run chase.

Earlier, having opted to bat first, Australia posted a decent total of 236-7 on the back of a fifty from Usman Khawaja and Glenn Maxwell’s 40 of 51 balls. M Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav accounted for two wickets each for the hosts.

Out of form skipper is the biggest concern for the visitors

Australia’s bowling attack made it tough for the hosts to pull out but once the middle-order got settled, everything eased out for the hosts. The visitors biggest concern, for now, would be the out of form skipper Aaron Finch. Had there be a couple of more runs on the board, it would have been more challenging for the Men in Blue.

Aussie skipper Aaron Finch is struggling with a terrible run of form for last four-five months. Since his test debut in October, the runs have dried up completely for the Finch. In last 17 innings, Finch has scored just 158 runs with two times scoring above 15 runs. Also, the Kangaroos have tried out seven different openers in ODIs, even trying Finch at number 3 position but the results have remained more or less the same. While the form of Glenn Maxwell and Nathan Coulter-Nile comes as a big relief to the visitors, Aaron Finch remains a severe headache for the Australia selectors.

Both sides Gearing up at Nagpur

Meanwhile, both the side have reached Nagpur and are gearing up for the second ODI. MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were the ones to hit the net first for the hosts while Shaun Marsh who missed the first ODI participated in a full day training and looks all set to feature. Most probably, Ashton Turner will make way for Shaun Marsh tomorrow at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.

AUS VS IND DREAM11 TEAM

Fantasy picks from Australia-

Glenn Maxwell and Nathan Coulter-Nile are in prime form for the visitors. G Maxwell continued his form and accounted for 40 runs in the first ODI after slamming a fifty and hundred in T20I series.

N Coulter Nile comes handy in the lower-batting order and his economic bowling spells and is knocking hard at the door for CWC 19 squad.

With Skipper Aaron Finch struggling with form, Usman Khawaja and Shaun Marsh will have to take the added responsibility to give a good start.

Pat Cummins, J Behrendorff and Adam Zampa will be crucial with the ball.

Fantasy picks from India-

It was the middle order that made the run chase possible in the first ODI. MS Dhoni is in great composure since the start of the year and will be crucial in the middle order as well as behind the wickets.

The top order will be responsible for a stable start. Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli haven’t played a big knock recently and would be hungry for scoring runs.

Jasprit Bumrah and M Shami are the two key pacers for the hosts alongwith Kuldeep Yadav in the spin department.
