After thumping the hosts England by 12 runs in the first warmup game, Australia will reload at The Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton to play their second warm-up game against Sri Lanka on Monday afternoon.

Riding on Steve Smith’s 116 of 102 balls, Australia posted 297 runs on the board in the first innings and collective bowling efforts helped them secure 12 runs win after bowling out England for 285 runs. J Behrendorff and Kane Richardson returned with 2 wickets each while the rest four bowlers returned with one wicket each. Going with the current form, they will be favourites to win the contest.

On the opposite, Sri Lanka faced 87 runs drubbing at the hands of South Africa in the first warmup game after being bowled out for 251 runs in response to 338 runs target set by the Proteas. Barring Dimuth Karunaratne (87) and Angelo Mathews (64), nobody else managed to cross 20 runs mark.
