After losing their opening game to Sri Lanka by 5 wickets, Bangladesh are in a tricky situation as a loss to Afghanistan will see them crashing out of the competition. Furthermore, their NRR took a toll courtesy of massive loss and even if they win, they have to do it convincingly to boost their chances.
On the other hand, Afghanistan will look to grab this golden opportunity by winning this game only and qualify for the Super 4. It will be their first game in the tournament but they are coming to this fixture on the back of a well-fought series against Pakistan. They will feel confident to stun the Bangladesh Tigers to advance further.

The wicket is flat and the batters will enjoy their time in the middle. While the spinners could get some help during the daytime, the batting is likely to get easier under the lights.
Last result at the venue
Australia (210/10 in 41.5 overs) lost to Pakistan (214/1 in 37.5 overs) by 9 wickets.
Bangladesh are expected to play the same playing XI despite their loss to Sri Lanka.

It is going to be a cracker of a game as Afghanistan have improved massively in the 50-over format. They will be heavily relying on their spinners but their batting will have to deliver the goods. At the same time, Bangladesh’s batting will look to bounce back after a disappointing show against Sri Lanka. If Shakib Al Hasan & Co. could perform with the bat, their bowling is good enough to win the game for them. We expect Bangladesh to win the closely-fought encounter.

For Small League, Head to Head contest: Shakib Al Hasan and Rahmanullah Gurbaz are the best captaincy options in this game.
For Grand League, Mega Contest: Rashid Khan and Taskin Ahmed could be good captaincy options in GLs and mega leagues.
