Dublin, May 13, Monday at 03:15 PM IST

Windies will square off against Bangladesh at The Village, Dublin in their second head to head clash in the ongoing tri-series between Windies and Bangladesh in Ireland. The first round has ended up and it’s time for the teams to face each other for the second time in the series.

With two wins and one loss in three outings, Windies moved up to the top spot in the tri-series standings after thrashing Ireland by 5 wickets in their record ODI run chase of 331-5. Sunil Ambris’ maiden ODI ton helped Windies in chasing down their highest successful run chase in ODIs at Malahide on Saturday. With the win, Windies also secured a spot in the final while the hosts Ireland are still winless after three matches. They now need nothing less than a miracle to secure a spot in the final.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, is placed second in the table with one win and one no result in two games. They secured a convincing 8 wickets win over Windies in the first encounter while the second game against the hosts Ireland got abandoned due to rain coming into play. Bangladesh needs just one win in two games to advance into the finals of the tri-series.

The final of the series is scheduled to be played on May 17, Friday at The Village, Dublin.
