Royal Challengers Bangalore (BAN-W) began the season with a close win against UP Warriorz. Sobhana Asha did the star turn with the ball as she became the first-ever Indian to scalp a fifer in WPL history. Smriti Mandhana was a relieved skipper as her team got out of jail and registered a win.
